Amanda Goodwin

Amanda Goodwin is a violin teacher and performer in Northern Virginia. She has received a Bachelor of Music in Performance from James Madison University, Master of Music and Professional Artist Certificate in Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a Master of Music in Suzuki Pedagogy/Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. At SIUE, Amanda taught private and group lessons through the university’s Suzuki Program and was trained and registered to teach Suzuki volumes 1-8. Prior to that, she worked for UNCSA’s ArtistCorps program, where she taught private and group violin or general music lessons to students from under-resourced communities. As a performer, she has had the opportunity to attend chamber music festivals such as the Philadelphia International Music Festival, where she was able to work with and learn from members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Currently, she is a member of the DC Concert Orchestra.
